The mission of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Student Group is to promote an understanding among public health practitioners, students, and health care providers of the current challenges and developments in the field of public health in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This region, rich in culture, tradition and diversity, presents a unique challenge when addressing the complex issues of human and social development and public health promotion.
The MENA Student Group will engage in the following tasks to achieve its mission:
Host local and international speakers from academia, public health and health care institutions
Organize the annual MENA Public Health Conference in association with other similar Harvard student groups
Plan social events to share the region’s rich culture through its cinematography, food, music, dance, and other traditional activities
All Harvard Chan students and inspired professionals interested in the development of public health initiatives in the MENA region are invited to join the group.
