Special issue of NHIR consortium research published in nanoIMPACT (ELSEVIER).
The recent increase in nanotechnology applications has led to an increased need for research in order to safely, responsibly, and sustainably develop engineered nanomaterials. The Nanotechnology Health Implications Research (NHIR) Consortium was established in 2016 to focus on performing some of these studies on a selection of reference materials such as metal/metal oxides, nanocellulose, and emerging 2D materials. Recently, NHIR Consortium members came together to put together a special issue in NanoImpact with some of their recent work. The issue, which is open access, contains twelve papers covering a variety of topics. Guest Editors for special issue are Drs. Nadadur (NIEHS) and Thrall (PNNL).
