Chan School of Public Health, recommended in a December 7, 2016 USA Today column that president-elect Trump consider both Republican and Democratic proposals when addressing Affordable Care Act issues. “If President Trump were to go beyond the likely narrower proposals from congressional Republicans and seek enactment of a larger compromise with Democrats, he could turn health care into a less controversial part of his tenure — and turn his attention to other priorities,” Blendon wrote.
