Harvard University has been closely monitoring the progress of the winter weather event that is expected to arrive Tuesday morning and to continue through late evening. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the Boston region, with snowfall expected to begin around 7:00 a.m. and total accumulations to reach 12 to 18 inches. Morning and evening commutes throughout the region will likely be affected.

In light of these circumstances, administrative offices across Harvard will be closed Tuesday, though parts of Harvard may remain open.

Those designated as critical personnel at Harvard Chan School are expected to report for their regular shifts, or to contact their supervisors if safety or other concerns make that impossible. Staff with questions about whether they are required to report should also contact their supervisors or School leaders. As always, the safety of students, faculty and staff is paramount. Critical personnel are urged to exercise caution as they travel to and from campus.

Human Resources will be in touch with information tomorrow on time reporting.

We will continue to closely monitor travel and safety conditions, and should further schedule changes be warranted, updates will be:
