Orientation 2013: HSPH welcomes new students

Getting acquainted at the new student reception

August 30, 2013 — The Harvard School of Public Health community welcomed 515 new students during orientation activities held August 26-30, 2013. Students from 52 countries and 39 states came together for workshops and events designed to prepare them for their HSPH experience, from interactive lectures on public health topics to an introduction to biking safely in Boston. New this year was the student-organized Cohort Games, which provided a chance to bond over friendly rounds of Pictionary and bag toss. A highlight of the week was the new student reception held on August 29 at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center.
