Harvard online course ranked among best of the year

A massive open online course (MOOC) developed by Harvard University and featuring several Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health faculty members was named as runner-up for Best Online Program of 2018 from ProEd, an organization that specializes in continuing education.

The MOOC, “Improving Your Business Through a Culture of Health,” focuses on providing businesses with strategies, tactics, and tools to gain a competitive advantage by cultivating a “culture of health” to improve the well-being of employees, consumers, and communities in which the businesses operate.

Harvard Chan School faculty who participate in the MOOC include: Howard Koh, Harvey V. Fineberg Professor of the Practice of Public Health Leadership; John McDonough, professor of the practice of public health; Glorian Sorensen, professor of social and behavioral sciences; Kasisomayajula Viswanath, Lee Kum Kee Professor of Health Communication; Gina McCarthy, professor of the practice of public health; and Eileen McNeely, instructor.
