Twitter chat highlights benefits of “teaching kitchens”

David Eisenberg, adjunct associate professor of nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, participated in a Twitter chat hosted by PBS NewsHour on May 18, 2017. The chat served as a companion piece to a recent segment that featured the Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Lives program Eisenberg founded. Co-sponsored by Harvard Chan School and the Culinary Institute of America, the program provides doctors and other health professionals with a crash course in how to build food and nutrition into their medical practices to improve health. During the Twitter chat, Eisenberg discussed how teaching doctors and patients about healthy eating and cooking can play an important role in preventative medicine.
