Field of Study Waiver and Substitution Requests
To request a waiver or substitution for a field of study requirement, please email your request to the field of study leader (for MPH-45 HP, Benjamin Sommers; for MPH-65 HP, Nancy Turnbull.) If approved, please forward documentation via email to mph@hsph.harvard.edu and Jen Moltoni for degree auditing purposes.
MPH-65 Health Policy Requirement, Depth in Specific Health Policy Area of Interest (5 credits minimum in one area)
Below are the approved courses for fulfilling the depth area requirement. These courses may be of interest as electives for both MPH-45 and MPH-65 Health Policy students. Some courses have limited enrollment capacity.
With approval from the field of study leader, Nancy Turnbull, students may develop another health policy depth area and/or enroll in courses not listed below. Students cannot use courses that meet other requirements to fulfill this requirement (e.g., if RDS 280 is used to meet the analytical methods requirement, it cannot be counted toward the 5 credits for a decision sciences area of interest).
