Dr. Dixon’s research focuses on the mechanics of walking. Through this work, Dr. Dixon aims to better understand the adaptations required for populations with restricted mobility to successfully navigate both the natural and built environments. Dr. Dixon also actively pursues research aiming to improve the analysis of biomechanical data and develops programming tools to help other researchers optimize their own data processing workflow through the open-source biomechZoo toolbox project.
