Workshops

Workshops include in-depth teaching on leadership theory. Each session consists of an introduction to a theory or concept.  Our facilitators will then guide students through experiential learning activities with reflections to help students anchor their learning. Topics vary from year to year, but we have covered Visions and Values, Difficult Conversations, Conflict Management, Listening, Power and Privilege, Teaming, etc.

Students who are part of the PHL Lab program as a Participant or Concentrator are required to attend all four workshops listed below. Workshops are separated into two parts. Students will first watch a pre-recorded instructional video (approximately 30 – 45 minutes) and then join a live integration session (approximately 110 minutes). You do not need to sign up for the workshops separately as it is integrated into your program. Recordings will not be available for the live integration sessions.

For the 2022 – 2023 academic year, we will continue to offer these workshops to the larger Harvard community via registration. We hope opening these workshops will cater to those who can not commit to the requirements of a Participant or Concentrator but are still seeking leadership training.
