Amitabh Chandra is the Ethel Zimmerman Wiener Professor of Public Policy, and director of health policy research at Harvard Kennedy School; and the Henry and Allison McCance Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School where he directs the joint MS/MBA program in the life-sciences. He was appointed by the American Enterprise Institute as the John H. Makin Visiting Scholar for the 2020-2021 academic year. He is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading health care economists whose research includes innovation and pricing in the biopharmaceutical industry, medical malpractice, and racial disparities and technology and productivity within the health care sector. Chandra’s research has been supported by the National Institute of Aging, the National Institute of Child Health and Development, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
