Dr. Barry Bloom is the Joan L. and Julius H. Jacobson Research Professor of Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is a recognized pioneer in the field of global health, and has served as a long-time advisor to the World Health Organization. Trained in immunology, Dr. Bloom has made important contributions in the areas of infectious diseases, vaccines and global health policy, mainly focusing on the immunology and pathogenesis of leprosy and tuberculosis.
