Lawrence D. Bobo is the dean of social science, the W. E. B. Du Bois Professor of the Social Sciences, and Harvard College Professor at Harvard University with appointments in the Department of Sociology and the Department of African and African American Studies. Bobo’s research—focused on the intersection of social inequality, politics, and race—has been published in numerous scholarly journals. He is a founding editor of the Du Bois Review: Social Science Research on Race published by Cambridge University Press, and co-authored the acclaimed books “Racial Attitudes in America: Trends and Interpretations,” and “Prejudice in Politics: Group Position, Public Opinion, and the Wisconsin Treaty Rights Dispute.”
