Weixing Zhang is a research associate currently working with Professor S V Subramanian and his team on the Burden of Disease and Deprivation in India across Micro and Macro Public Policy Units project. In the project, he is exploring a variety of population health and development data in India and making them available at micro public policy unit scales. He is also developing a web-based intelligent public data and analytics platform to support evidence-based public health policy decision making. Before joining HCPDS, Weixing was a research associate, project manager, and adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Geography from there in 2015 and 2018.
