About Us

Founded in 2002, the Emergency Preparedness Research Evaluation & Practice (EPREP) Program serves as the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health’s center for public health and health sector preparedness.

We draw upon experts and experience from across Harvard and all its affiliate institutions. Our mission is to provide public, private, and non-governmental organizations with the expertise to prepare for and respond to emergencies of all types; convening public health, healthcare, first responders, and other organizations to offer practice-based education, exercise and evaluation activities centered on public health emergency preparedness.

The EPREP Program brings together the legacies of the numerous Harvard T.H. Chan School preparedness initiatives including Preparedness & Emergency Response Research Center (H-PERLC), Linking Assessment & Measurement to Performance in Public Health Preparedness Systems (LAMPS), Emergency Preparedness & Response Exercise Program.
