Dr. Guimond is a clinical psychologist studying the interplay between psychological functioning and physical health. Her research aims to (1) examine whether positive and detrimental aspects of psychological functioning impact the incidence of age-related chronic diseases and the maintenance of optimal physical health, and (2) identify biobehavioral mechanisms that underlie the psychological functioning-physical health connection. Dr. Guimond is a licensed psychologist (Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec, Canada) with expertise in health psychology, anxiety, mood, and sleep disorders.
