Emma-Louise "Emmilie" Aveling, PhD, MPhil, is a Research Scientist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the Department of Health Policy and Management. She specializes in applied qualitative research in the fields of global public health, community health and health care quality and safety. Dr Aveling has conducted qualitative research in diverse clinical, organizational and community settings in the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Rwanda, and Ethiopia. Her research interests include community-engaged and partnership/collaborative approaches to tackling health inequities and delivering high-quality health services. Dr Aveling teaches several courses in qualitative research methods at the Harvard Chan School.
