Laurie Samuels Pascal, MBA, MPH
Laurie Pascal is a Senior Lecturer in Health Management at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, bringing more than 30 years of industry experience to the classroom.
She designs, directs, and teaches in forward-looking executive education programs for both clinical and nonclinical leaders in the US and abroad. Recent US programs include Women on Boards: Getting on and Adding Value and Culture of Health; international audiences include the National Health Service England, Queensland (Australia) Health and the Gulf Health Council (Middle East). She also teaches in Harvard Chan leadership programs for US-based and international physicians and health care executives and serves as a Harvard University Continuing Education Executive-in-Residence.
Her coaching and consulting work with individuals and organizations focuses on leadership development, team building, organizational change and effectiveness, and strategic decision-making. Recent organizational clients include American College of Mohs Surgery, UNC Radiology, McKesson/US Oncology, Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services, and The New School for Leadership in Health Care (Taiwan).
Previously Laurie was Vice President of Business Development & Planning and Vice President of Radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She formerly held senior executive positions in health insurance, financial services, and academia. She currently serves on university and senior living Boards of Trustees. She holds an MBA in Marketing and Organizational Behavior from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, an MPH in Management and Policy from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan and is certified by the Center for Executive Coaching. Laurie received the Outstanding Teaching in Continuing and Professional Executive Education Award (Harvard Chan School) in 2019 and was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Pine Manor College.
