Overview

Dr. Zhaozhong Zhu is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a faculty member at Emergency Medicine Network, Department of Emergency Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital. He received doctoral of science degree in Environmental and Molecular Epidemiology at Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Health and bachelor of science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Zhu's research interests mainly include identifying the biological risk factors for respiratory diseases, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) using multi-omics data, such as genome-wide association study (GWAS), epigenomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics and microbiome, and he hopes to transform the research findings into community prevention and clinical intervention.
