The Work Continues: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in the Workplace

Two-people-collaborating-around-a-computer

Our collective experiences with COVID-19 and cries for social justice has heightened awareness of deeply embedded racial and socioeconomic disparities in American businesses. This time, perhaps, sustained change is within reach. As organizations advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives, an often-overlooked focus of the health status of employees and their families, where a healthy work environment and equitable access to high-value health offerings should be available to all.

By working to bolster DEIB efforts, organizations have a unique opportunity to improve the lives of their stakeholders. Harvard faculty members and DEIB experts Dr. Yele Aluko (EY consulting) and Dr. Lisa Nishii (Cornell University) will serve as sounding boards for management in this 90-minute remote session for business leaders and will focus on participants’ questions and concerns regarding DEIB integration. The conversation and provided recommendations can support employer goals of achieving greater equity and value in workforce health, measurably contributing to business success.
