Alexandra Gugliuzza

Alex (she/her) is an MPH candidate in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. With a background in healthcare consulting for local and federal government, Alex intimately recognizes both the devastating and restorative power of policy. She is committed to unraveling systems of oppression and addressing upstream determinants of health among marginalized communities using community-engaged and anti-racist methods. Alex has a BS in Policy Analysis from Cornell University and enjoys painting, exploring local coffee/tea shops, and spending time with family in her hometown Miami, FL.

Alex’s project focuses on supporting community-identified needs of childcare providers disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic by coordinating immediate flexible funding to priority neighborhoods, building collective capacity, and identifying sustainable long-term structures necessary to fund affordable early education and care for all families.
