Even is a second year doctoral student in the Population Health Sciences PhD program. Their field of study is Social and Behavioral Sciences and their research interests include social epidemiology and transgender health, with a focus on social and structural determinants of mental well-being among transgender and nonbinary adolescents. Prior to beginning their doctoral work, Even worked as a Data Analyst Coordinator in youth violence prevention research at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and received their MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health.
Even’s project focuses on providing and evaluating the effectiveness of resources for transgender and nonbinary young people and their caregivers.
