Janae Briggs is a first-year, Master of Science student in the Department of Epidemiology. Her research interests include infectious disease epidemiology, implementation science, and health systems strengthening. She hopes to work in the field of global health delivery to help reduce health inequities and meet the health needs of underserved communities in low-resource settings.
For her project, Janae has partnered with The Family Van, a mobile clinic in Boston, to reduce health disparities and improve health service access for underserved communities. She will help develop an intervention to target hypertension and diabetes, improve the clinic’s smartphone health application, and describe health trends using routinely collected data.
