Kimberly is a masters student in the department of Health Management with a concentration in Humanitarian Studies, Ethics and Human Rights. She earned her bachelors degrees from Southern Methodist University in Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Spanish Literature. She earned her Masters and PhD in Chemistry from Rice University and earned her MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch. Kimberly has lived abroad in a variety of countries pursuing her research interests in global health, medical education and end of life palliative care medicine. In her free time she enjoys hiking and mountaineering with her dog, Atlas.

Kimberly’s project focuses on creating a patient advisory council to guide, support and promote a culture of patient and family centered care, as well as, integrate, elevate and promote the patient and family voice in Kidney Palliative care.
