Rose Service Learning Fellow

Maura is an MD and now an MPH student at the Department of Global Health with an interest in working with underserved communities, especially those living in remote areas. She has worked for more than 5 years with indigenous communities in her country (Venezuela), and she has created two not-for-profit projects to improve the healthcare access to these communities (CUMIS and Proyecto Shaman).

Maura’s project focuses on improving access to quality healthcare for underserved communities. She is creating a platform that is functional offline and helps community healthcare workers reach a better diagnosis and treatment for patients.
