Road to Resilience
In our new webinar series, Road to Resilience, we explore the features that make societies resilient and how decision-makers can address crises more effectively.
In our first episode on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, we were pleased to welcome Markus K. Brunnermeier, author of “The Resilient Society,” which was listed by the Financial Times as one of the best economics books of 2021. In it, the Princeton professor argues that because societies cannot avoid shocks, it is crucial for them to build resiliency, which enables them to bounce back more quickly. “Resilience,” he writes, “can serve as the guiding North Star for a post-Covid society.” In this webinar, Prof. Brunnermeier discussed what resilience means, and how we can improve it, with Patricia Geli, executive director of Reform for Resilience.
