McLennan Family Fund – Dean’s Challenge Grant Program

We are now accepting applications for the 2017 McLennan Fund.

Application Deadline: Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 5:00pm

The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Dean’s Challenge Grant Program is sponsored through generous funding from the McLennan Family Fund and will support strategic investments that foster rapid innovation and advance our shared vision for a stronger, more dynamic, and more globally-engaged school.

Each year, the Dean will identify a set of global health issues that will be key priorities in the selection and award of challenge grants.  The topics will be targeted to attract proposals from a variety of faculty across departments, resulting in cross-cutting, multidisciplinary approaches to addressing public health issues of top priority. This year, two priority topics have been identified:(1) Aging and Longevity, and (2) Mental Health & Well-being.  Grant applications that align with the Dean’s priority topics will be given special consideration; however, any faculty member who has a novel approach or innovative idea in need of seed funding is encouraged to apply.
