Compliance with Federal Vaccination Requirement

Dear Members of the Harvard Chan School Community,

We hope you have had a chance to read today’s message from President Bacow which reinforces that, to be consistent with federal guidelines, all Harvard employees must be fully vaccinated. The highlights:

  • If you have not yet submitted proof of vaccination to HUHS, you must do so by November 15.
  • All employees must be fully vaccinated, even if you are 100% remote. Individuals who do not have a legal exemption and are not fully vaccinated by December 8, 2021 will no longer be eligible to work at Harvard.
  • Employees who claim a medical or religious exemption are required to submit signed exemption claim documentation and will have more frequent testing requirements.
Thank you for your continued adherence to the COVID-19 guidelines in place at the School and University and for keeping our community safe and healthy. As a reminder, please continue to check our Return to Campus site, where we have added a new FAQs section, and the University’s Keep Harvard Healthy site. Both are updated as information and protocols change.

Sincerely,

Katie and Jane
