As Harvard Chan School welcomes members of the community back to campus in fall 2021, we are committed to health and safety for all while ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, and research.
We have established numerous health and safety protocols, including requiring face coverings indoors and in the classroom, upgrading ventilation and filtration at the School, requiring students to test before coming to campus, setting up testing protocols and vaccination plans for any unvaccinated students, establishing strict protocols if someone in the community tests positive, and more.
We have also outlined several steps that are necessary before teaching in person.
- Verify your vaccine with Harvard University Health Services (HUHS). This is done through the Patient Portal; see information about verifying your vaccine.
- Set up your Color account and your Crimson Clear account so that you can see your testing cadence and manage testing results and be sure to follow the testing protocol.
- If at all possible, you should go to campus before the first day you teach to get set up, and know that it will take extra time to prepare relative to pre-pandemic teaching on campus.
- Make teaching back-up plans in case students have COVID-related absences or you are unable to come to campus.
