Congratulations to SBS Chair, Ichiro Kawachi who was recently named the John L. Loeb and Frances Lehman Loeb Professor of Social Epidemiology. Dr. Kawachi’s research is focused on the social and economic determinants of population health and health disparities. He is the co-author of the textbook Social Epidemiology (with Lisa Berkman) and will be celebrating the launch of the second edition of their book on Friday, September 12.
