Dr. Mary T. Bassett, François-Xavier Bagnoud Professor of the Practice of Health and Human Rights and Director of the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights, has been recently featured in “Will inequality worsen the toll of the [Coronavirus (COVID-19)] pandemic in the U.S.?” written by Alvin Powell from The Harvard Gazette.
In the article, Dr. Bassett names a few reasons why inequality could worsen the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis in the US including its large prison population, low-income population, and lack of universal health care, among others.
