Dr. Mary T. Bassett, François-Xavier Bagnoud Professor of the Practice of Health and Human Rights and Director of the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights, has been recently featured in ABC New’s “How COVID-19 is exposing — and widening — cracks in the US health system”.
“Any time you have a whole population exposed to a disease, it reflects the structural underpinnings and the failures of our society,” says Dr. Bassett in the article. “The reasons we get sick, or not, have more to do with our society than any biological features that we may have as individuals”.
