Neeki Parsa

Clinical Research Coordinator in the Division of Adolescent Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital

Neeki (they/them) is a research coordinator in the Division of Adolescent Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital, working with Dr. Sabra Katz-Wise on the Trans Teens and Family Narratives Project and Dr. Lydia Shrier on the Screening for Early and Emerging Mental Experiences study. Their primary area of research interest is health equity for multiply marginalized trans and queer populations.  At Tufts University, Neeki capped their studies of pre-medicine and Sociology with an honors thesis examining nonbinary patient experiences in the Boston area. After graduating cum laude with highest thesis honors, they worked at the Fenway Institute’s Division of Education and Training, where they supported a national project disseminating eleven HIV interventions in four focus areas: trans women, black men who have sex with men, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health integration into primary care.  Neeki hopes to continue to apply their knowledge of queer and trans affirmative healthcare one day as a physician.
