Melissa Fiffer is a doctoral student in environmental epidemiology who brings 11 years of experience working for the federal government, primarily in the US EPA’s Office of Atmospheric Programs. Her research interests broadly include air pollution and health, and the impact of contextual factors such as greenness and walkability. Her thesis focuses on the association between multiple environmental exposures and risk of Type II diabetes. In her free time, she enjoys running and hiking around New England and Florida with her dog.
