Dr. Boomhower received his PhD in Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences at Auburn University. His research focuses on how exposure to drugs and heavy metals during sensitive periods of development alter the brain and behavior later in life. Dr. Boomhower is currently an NIH-funded postdoctoral research fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Quan Lu where he studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms of metal exposure in neural stem cells.
