Thank you New Jersey Senator Troy Singleton and Assemblyman Herb Conaway Jr. for championing this bill to protect young people from dangerous over-the-counter diet pills and muscle-building supplements.

Introduced by New Jersey Senator Troy Singleton and Assemblyman Herb Conaway Jr., in the 2022-2023 New Jersey legislative session, Prohibits sale of certain diet pills and dietary supplements for weight loss or muscle building to persons under 18 years of age (A3512/S2387)would protect kids from dangerously underregulated over-the-counter diet pills and muscle-building supplements by restricting the sale to adults 18 years or older in stores and online.

On November 14, 2022, the New Jersey State Assembly Health Committee passed A3512 in a vote of 7 in favor, 0 opposed, and 3 abstaining. The bill will now move to the Assembly for a floor vote.
