Professional Development Support Fund for Students

Last chance for the academic year.

Graduating students must apply before May 27. Non-graduating students must apply by June 15 at 5pm. The PDSF was established by the Office for Student Services to support individual student professional development. The goal of this fund is to provide modest financial support to students for professional development activities such as attending a conference either as a participant or to present a paper or a poster. Eligibility requirements and application guidelines can be found at: hsph.me/pdsf

Women, Gender, & Health – Events Co-Chair Position

The Women, Gender, and Health Events Subcommittee is seeking a student co-chair for the 2021-2022 school year (and beyond)! This is an exciting opportunity to meet the public health academics and practitioners you want to learn from who are doing work related to women, gender, and health. Main Role: Plan an event every other month with the faculty co-chair and WGH staff members. Previous events have focused on: reproductive justice, Trans health, mass incarceration and health, and more!

New Data Management Plan Resource

New Data Management Plan Template available on DMPTool

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has issued its Final NIH Policy for Data Management and Sharing (DMS Policy) effective January 25, 2023. In response, the LMA RDMWG has created a Harvard Biomedical DMP Template on the DMPTool, a free, web-based tool to assist the creation of funder or university-specific plans. The DMP Template provides example answers and guiding resources to successfully write a DMP for any research project or grant.

Countway Library liaisons to the Harvard Chan School are a collaborative group of librarian research professionals specializing in all aspects of the research lifecycle, from idea inception and organization to publication and dissemination. Liaisons represent the research & instruction, publishing & data services, access services, and history of medicine & health sciences departments in the library, and are available to students, faculty, and staff for project, class, and research support.
