- Dr. Aastha Kant is the project manager at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public – India Research Center.
Dr. Kant is currently working on a research project on building public agenda and policy support for public health. The project focuses on enhancing capacity among media, decision makers and public health professionals to draw on the latest scientific evidence on reproductive, maternal and child health and nutrition as public health topics to influence their day-to-day practice.
A sociologist by training, Dr. Kant holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). She worked at the Population Council, India Country Office in New Delhi before joining TISS as an Assistant Professor. Her research interests include reproductive, maternal and child health, family planning, and research methodology.
