Research Focus

Jenna’s research focus is on how to improve communication between scientists and the general public, especially in the public health field.  She is working on a research paper, under the guidance of Dr. Viswanath, about the impact of emotion on parental decisions regarding childhood vaccination. She is particularly interested in the concepts of fake news and misinformation, and different ways that one can motivate people to seek the truth, especially when it comes to the health of them and their families. She believes that images can be powerful tools that change the way people see the world, and hopes to combine photography with her work.

Background

Jenna is currently a junior at Harvard College studying Cognitive Neuroscience and Evolutionary Psychology with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy.
