The goals of this study are (1) to identify implementation gaps in the provision of healthcare and related services for children affected by HIV/AIDS and (2) to identify and describe realistic strategies that can close these gaps, increase access to services and improve outcomes for HIV-affected children and their families, preventing the HIV cycle. As the JLICA Learning Group 3 leadership, the FXB Center works closely with researchers and practitioners to marshal evidence on the strategies to overcome bottlenecks in implementing essential services for children in low-income, high-burden settings. They apply a science-based framework, based on literature reviews, case studies, and field observations such as the model of the Learning Collaborative.
