Xiaoran Liu

Department of Nutrition

Dr. Xiaoran Liu is a Research Associate at the Department of Nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Liu received her Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University in Nutritional Sciences, her Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Food Science from the University of Manitoba in Canada. Dr. Liu conducted post-doctoral research at Harvard School of Public Health.

Her research interests include diets and dietary patterns in the prevention of chronic diseases with an emphasis on obesity. She has particular interests in the protective roles of functional foods such as nuts and vegetable oils in cardiometabolic diseases.
