Research Interests
Dr. Oulhote’s research focuses on the impact of environmental exposures on children’s neurodevelopment and immune system. He mainly focuses on exposures to metals (e.g. mercury, lead, and manganese) and endocrine disruptors (e.g. PBDEs, PFAS, and phthalates). He is investigating the influence of environmental exposures on cognitive and behavioral abilities of children from the Faroe Islands and Canada.
Dr Oulhote’s interests also include methodological aspects to investigate the joint effects of environmental exposures and socio-economic context on early child development.
