As a Research Associate, Frederick Goddard spends the majority of his time on data science needs for our research program. He also assists with the development of a fellowship for the HaSET program in Ethiopia, and builds analytical and research capacity in our team. He comes to us with a background in environmental engineering and environmental epidemiology, with experience designing and evaluating environmental interventions in both high- and low-income settings. He completed his PhD in Environmental Health at Emory University, and holds engineering degrees from the University of Bristol and Stanford University. Fred is especially interested in applying data science methods to efficiently manage and analyze complex epidemiologic data, as well as building data science capacity.
