Theodros Getachew

Theodros Getachew is a public health researcher working in Ethiopian Public Health Institutes since 2007.He currently holds a researcher position. Academically, Theodros obtained an MSc in Biostatistics and Health Informatics from Mekelle University. He has a background in Medical laboratory science. Now, Theodros is a PhD candidate with a research focus on quality of care provided to child health in the context of iCCM and evaluation of the Optimization of Health Extension Program implementation to improve the quality of child health.

Theodros was the principal investigator of the Ethiopian Service Provision Assessment Plus (SPA+) survey which mainly focus on assessing Infrastructure, Resources, support systems, and service availability and readiness of Child Health, Maternal and Newborn Health, Family Planning, HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), Malaria, Tuberculosis, Basic surgery, Non-communicable diseases. He was also the principal investigator for the Ethiopian Service Availability and Readiness Assessment (SARA), and Ethiopian Data Quality Review (DQR) assessment, which were conducted in 2016 and 2018.
