Sara Bleich, PhD

Dr. Sara Bleich is a professor of Public Health Policy at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the Department of Health Policy and Management. She is also the Carol K. Pforzheimer Professor at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. Dr. Bleich’s research provides evidence to support policies to prevent obesity and diet-related diseases, particularly among vulnerable populations. She is currently working on various projects relating to COVID-19 food implications and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Dr. Bleich served as a White House Fellow from 2015 to 2016 where she worked as a Senior Policy Advisor to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the First Lady’s Let’s Move initiative. She earned a BA in Psychology from Columbia University and a PhD in Health Policy from Harvard University.
