David R. Pletta, MPH is a PhD student in Population Health Sciences (field: Social and Behavioral Sciences) at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. His research interests include: 1) the social and psychiatric epidemiology of mood disorders among sexual and gender minorities (SGM); 2) barriers and facilitators to mental healthcare access for SGM youth, particularly those experienced by transgender and/or nonbinary youth; and 3)how social and structural factors influence the treatment and management of chronic psychiatric conditions

David holds an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Boston University School of Public Health and a BS in Cognitive Science and BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
