Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School
Yu-Chi Wang (no pronouns/Dr.) is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and in the Department of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Using an interdisciplinary approach that includes theory and methods from psychology, education, game studies, and public health, Yu-Chi conducts research on the experiences of transgender and nonbinary young adults. Through both quantitative and qualitative methods, Yu-Chi hopes to uplift trans and nonbinary people of color’s voices. Finally, Yu-Chi hopes to not only uncover the intersectional impacts of systems of oppression, including gender binarism, cissexism, and racism, but highlight the strengths of this community in spite of these systems.
