During our inaugural conference on February 2023, we explored the theme “Building Resilience and the Future of Health in Africa,” which sparked insightful conversations about comprehensive and multidisciplinary approaches to address the vulnerabilities exposed in African healthcare systems during the COVID-19 pandemic. These discussions have profoundly influenced this year’s theme, “Mapping Changemakers Transforming Health in Africa.” Our upcoming conference will explore various themes that reflect the changing healthcare landscape in Africa and highlight the leaders and organizations leading this change through practice innovations and policy reform. To ensure a wide range of discussions on key areas within health, the conference will host influential and expert keynote speakers and panels with diverse representation that explore topics such as women’s health and leadership, effects of climate change, role of health information technology and emergence of AI, health security, and community participatory outreach programs. The 2024 Africa Health Conference is scheduled for February 23rd through 24th at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
