Project Summary: Implementation determinants are factors that enable or hinder the successful implementation of evidence-based innovations. Identifying key implementation determinants is critical for selecting effective implementation strategies and for understanding how they work. To collect data on implementation determinants, researchers often use methods and approaches with high potential for research burden for both participants and researchers. This can result in unintended inequities with respect to the people and settings that participate in research. The field of implementation science needs more pragmatic approaches to collecting data on implementation determinants to advance goals toward engaging diverse research partners in identifying and understanding barriers and facilitators to successful implementation. The overall goal of this methods project is to identify practical considerations and strategies for collecting data on implementation determinants in low-resourced healthcare settings.
