Benedetta is a PhD student in Pharmaceutical Sciences in Rome and has recently joined the Rubin lab to expand her knowledge of Mycobacteria. She has a background in pharmaceutical chemistry, specializing in synthesizing active compounds against Mtb to combat pharmacological resistance. She is interested in studying drug resistance mechanisms in M. abscessus.
